I’m proud to own this No. 71 Stanley router plane because it still has all of the original parts.

A router plane features an L-shaped blade and is designed for cutting and smoothing rabbets, dadoes, and grooves. It’s typically used by holding it with both hands and pulling it toward you.The countersunk screw holes make it easy to attach custom fences to ride along the edge of a workpiece. The metal fence on the bottom works great on both straight and curved edges. If you enjoy working with hand tools, a router plane comes in handy for a lot of woodworking tasks.
