The All-Wooden Citroën 2CV
One entertaining woodworking story involves Michel Robillard, a French carpenter who created a fully functional, life-size wooden replica of a 1950s Citroën 2CV car. Robillard spent years meticulously carving and assembling the vehicle, using fine wood like pear and cherry for its body. The car runs on a regular engine, and almost everything, including the hubcaps and seats, is made from wood. Here’s the link to an article showcasing the car and its details: Michel Robillard’s Wooden Citroën 2CV. You can also see more about the process and how this incredible wooden car works.
